Serving the seven-county metro area of Minneapolis-St Paul Minnesota

Loyalty Event

2010

On October 12, 2010 Store To Door hosted its annual Loyalty Event at the Wilder Center in St. Paul. This gathering honors donors, volunteers and other Store To Door supporters who have been with the agency for five years or more. Attendees enjoyed a scrumptious lunch sponsored by Xcel Energy and fun fellowship among volunteer and staff supporters.

Two speakers from the Wilder Center, Barb Colley and Kathryn Ringham, spoke on “Connecting the Stages of Caregiving and Resources.” Barb and Kathyrn reviewed the unique challenges facing caregivers, how to recognize and manage caregiver stress and where to find resources to help caregivers. The Wilder Foundation has a department devoted specifically to Community Services for Aging. Within this department there is a program called Caregiver Services and Consulting. This program works with families to meet the demands of caring for an older adult by assessing needs, identifying options, designing a customized solution that works for the family, and helping to arrange for services.

Other caregiver resources presented included:

  • Wilder Adult Day Health Programs: 651-280-2546
  • Wilder Caregiver Services and Consulting: 651-280-2538
  • Wilder Memory Club: 651-280-2295
