View our brief video to learn more about Store To Door.
Store To Door shops for and delivers groceries directly into the kitchens of homebound elderly, providing access to competitively priced food and personalized delivery. We serve the entire seven county metro areas, acting as the eyes and ears, arms and legs of adults unable to get out and shop for their own groceries.
On a regular schedule, volunteers phone our clients for their grocery order and shop for them at Cub Foods. Staff delivers the groceries and prescriptions in refrigerated vans.
Store To Door is a non-profit community service whose mission is to enhance opportunities for aging adults to live independently. Our clients live on their own; however, they're unable to shop and get their groceries home. All of our clients pay for their groceries, using personal funds or Food Support benefits.
We serve people of all incomes. A delivery contribution, determined by self-reported income, is requested of all clients.
In 2009, Store To Door served 1,275 clients in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, delivering 16,502 grocery orders with a value of more than $1.2 million dollars.
